I'm now getting started with the language, I have net beans but the editor in it is automated (and way too complicated for my level), that kinda takes the work out of learning to write the code. I'm looking for something basic, no frills (the cheaper the better).
I have the Bloodshed Dev-C++ software, if I could get something that works like that for java would be great.
I'm looking for a simple java compiler, any suggestions?
try textpad, its free
Reply:well i suppose u want to some software that provides easy GUI usability. Also there are 2 java compilers provided by Sun(creators of java namely :javac and JIT(just in time compiler).
Softwares are :
(1) BlueJ (www.bluej.org)
(2) javacreator
Reply:It's called Java C and is included in the Java SDK.
Reply:NetBeans IDE
it is on the same site you download the Java SDK
