Can I Get Into UC Berkeley?

I have a 3.7 weighted GPA, which after this semester will go up - I also plan to take summer courses and 4 AP classes next year to bump my GPA to a 3.9. My SAT scores are 2200 and my ACT is 32. But I have a C in a science class, and only took three AP classes (one soph year, two this year).





I'm not a part of any huge organizations, but I'm a president of a book club at my school and part of my school's journalism program. I'm the Academics editor of my yearbook staff, which won the Colombia award, the highest award a highschool publication can receive. I also am on my school's varsity water polo team. This is probably a long shot, but I have a nearly finished novel and some strings in the publication world that I'd like to pull to get it published this summer (I'm 17 years old).





Would this get me into UC Berkeley, or other Ivy Leagues? Or is this just a lost cause with the grades I've got?

Your a good candidate for a spot. you should know that. But under no circumstance can you know for sure even if you were "perfect" in every way you could get rejected. Apply, you might get in but theres a chance you wont. Nothing you couldn't of told yourself. And never look at the holes in your transcript as reasons not to apply. You NEVER know. Good luck son.
