If not Northwestern, what schools would you recommend?

I hate to do this, but do you think I'll get into Northwestern University?
Your stats look great, but with any highly selective place like Northwestern you can never count on getting in. Anyone who plans on applying to only top schools should have some safety schools.

What do you mean when you says your standardized test scores are projected? What are you basing them on? If you haven't taken the real ACT or SAT, you really can't project your scores. Things like the PLAN and PSAT do provide an indication of scores, but aren't all that accurate.

Have you taken the ACT or SAT before? Even if you took it in the 7th grade and have a low score, post it anyway.

Students who apply to top schools often are not expected because they do not diversify themselves enough. Schools do not want machines who only turn out straight A's and perfect standardized test scores. Your EC's are good, but diversifying them more would make you more competitive. Colleges see thousands of apps with EC's like violin and newspaper. Your EC's are very good, but if you see a more original one come up you can do, go for it. Consider getting some leadership positions if you can, too.

It looks like you're off to a great start and stand a chance at getting into Northwestern. I worry about your projected scores, however. Many good students except to do extremely well on standardized tests and simply find they aren't good at them, despite how talented they may be.
Reply:I think you're a projected *****.

**** yourself you stupid 33-projected my ***.

****. Report It

2. Score looks good

3. EC looks good

You have solid chances; of course you have to ignore most answer on yahoo when they tell you that you are a sure "in."

33-34 ACT is pretty different from 2100 SAT btw. Your writing recognition/award seems really nice.

Good luck.
Reply:the point of top notch schools is that top notch kids apply...and you look like a top notch kid! so just make your essays really really really good and make them focus on your personality...so that you stand out from the crowd!!
