How do I create a new .cmd file with notepad?

It is asking me to Use a text editor to create a file and name it reset.cmd. Save the reset.cmd in C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools folder. but i don't know how. =[

How do I create a new .cmd file with notepad?
Create your file with what ever start up preferences you desire and then save the file as a .txt file out of the notepad application. Then go back and rename the file extension from .txt to .cmd.





I use this method to create game file preferences.

Reply:You can save a file created in notepad with any extension, just choose "All Files" under the file types combo box when you click on File and Save. Append .cmd as the file extension.
